Grapevine is a multi-state, regional publication with an emphasis on leisure
and destination travel, typically in a 4- to 5-hour radius of the Baltimore-
Washington area. Within this focus, the magazine is structured by departments,
including travel, homes & decor, dining, wine, fine and performing arts,
history, outdoor pursuits, entertaining, and fine living. Occasional special
features venture outside of these departments to offer unique articles, such
as “Choosing a Good Cigar” and highlighting interesting people and events.
Based on readership surveys, Grapevine readers are evenly split between
men and women, and the majority are:
- 28+ years of age
- Highly educated
- Affluent, with average annual income over $100K
- Active and looking for things to do and places to visit
Our circulation is growing rapidly; at present, we distribute 30,000 to 40,000
copies per issue. The magazine reaches Washington DC, Maryland, Pennsylvania,
Virginia, and West Virginia. Because Grapevine is a bi-monthly publication with
articles of both immediate and ongoing interest, readers keep the magazine and
the advertisements have a long shelf life.
Our design is intentionally very visual, with photography that makes readers
want to “be there.” The writing strikes a balance between entertaining and
informative, capturing the essence of our region and motivating readers to
experience it for themselves.
As a marketing vehicle, Grapevine offers advertisers a focused venue to promote their businesses or services to a targeted market. Our readers are activelylooking for places to visit, dine, shop, and live.
